Work Shift: Third (Nights)

Hours/Shift: Full-time, 36 hours per week, Nights

The 3-North is a Medical Telemetry Unit located on the third floor of SAMC. This unit has 24 beds and treats patients with low-risk chest pain, COPD, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure, as well as monitoring and cardiac telemetry.

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) or higher
• Registered Nursing License (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
• At least 18 months of RN experience

RN Unit Coordinators demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provide clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, they lead safety and quality initiatives, focus on and simplify workflow, and contribute to staff development. They increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
