Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Operations in Elizabeth City, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license.

- Fri 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
- Sat 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government correctional location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and policy violations.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document the entry and exit of staff, visitors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with site personnel and public service agencies as directed.
- Prepare accurate reports, maintain required activity logs, and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to supervisors and designated site contacts.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
