As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector / Inspection Technician, you help ensure safety and reliability for fire protection systems in all types of buildings. You’ll perform hands-on inspections, maintenance, and testing, all while representing the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems and life safety systems across commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
- Complete work to national, state, and local codes, especially NFPA requirements.
- Record clear, accurate reports for customers and regulatory agencies.
- Communicate inspection results, safety recommendations, and next steps to property owners and managers.
- Identify hazards and deficiencies, helping clients act quickly for safety.
- Work independently and as part of a proud, supportive team.
- Upgrade your skills—stay current on codes, technologies, and best practices.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles for safe operation.
- Show initiative, mentor others, and help grow our reputation as industry leaders.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Prior experience in fire sprinkler inspection, installation, or a related trade (mechanical, electrical, construction) preferred
- Familiarity with NFPA codes (NFPA 13, 25, etc.) or willingness to learn
- Ability to use hand tools, ladders, and digital reporting devices/applications
- Physical ability to safely climb, lift, and work in varied environments (indoors/outdoors)
- Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and pride in quality workmanship
- Dependable, positive attitude—a true team player and future leader
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- NICET Level II (or above) in Inspection/Testing of Water-Based Systems
- Certifications in fire protection, suppression systems, or life safety
- Experience with digital inspection/maintenance tools
- Familiarity with fire alarm and suppression systems
