Accounting Assistant
Do you have a passion for accounting and thrive when working with and understanding detailed transactions? Hotels at Home is a growing eCommerce company, and the Accounting Assistant position provides the perfect opportunity to be part of a dynamic finance-accounting team. This role will be instrumental in reviewing, processing, and reconciling the company’s financial transactions, as well as Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable transactions.
Responsibilities- Accounts Payable transaction processing
- Assist with Accounts Receivable transactions
- Monthly journal entry processing and GL account reconciliation
- Assist with customer returns processing
- Reconcile vendor trial balance
- 1099 year-end processing/reporting
- Other duties as assigned, including supporting internal teams as needed
The ideal candidate for this role is deeply analytical, highly adaptable, and has an entrepreneurial mindset. If you enjoy tackling new challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment - this role is for you.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; or relevant experience.
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Highly proficient with MS Excel (Pivot tables and V-Lookups knowledge required)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work both collaboratively as well as independently
- Experience with accounting software a plus, notably Microsoft Dynamics and/or Net Suite
- Potential for Annual Merit increase based on performance
