We’re partnering with a growing global manufacturer to add a Tax Accountant to their finance team at their U.S. headquarters in Lyndhurst, NJ. Position SummaryThe Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and supporting tax strategy initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys balancing technical tax work with cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and file accurate corporate tax returns
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Identify and apply tax credits, deductions, and savings strategies
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Monitor tax law changes and apply updates proactively
- Utilize tax and accounting software (Net Suite experience a plus)
- Support audits and financial reporting processes
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required (CFA considered a plus depending on scope)
- 2–5+ years of tax and/or public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance and filings (federal and state)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- 5 days onsite (flexible hours and occasional WFH flexibility)
- Newly built team (5 total in Finance) reporting to Senior Finance Manager
