Clerk 1 - County Adjuster's Office
Location:
Morristown, NJ 07963 (Administration and Records Building)
- Preparing and reviewing sensitive and confidential legal documents concerning the admission and/or civil commitment of individuals to private, county, and state psychiatric hospitals.
- Scheduling court hearings.
- Assisting with other duties of the County Adjuster's Office, including investigation of residency status, assessment of ability to pay for hospitalization, organization and daily filing of confidential healthcare records, and other administrative tasks.
- Accurately inputting data into the various database systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and conscientious handling of confidential information.
- Team player capable of multitasking, working under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, and self‑motivated.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn and use other County programs such as MS Teams and eCourts.
