Visiting Physician Services (VPS) is a home‑based primary care practice dedicated to one mission: helping older adults stay safely and comfortably at home as they age. For over 30 years, we’ve delivered in‑home medical care as part of the Parker Advanced Care Institute at VNA Health Group. Our experienced team provides everything from routine visits to chronic care management, telehealth, diagnostics, and wound care — all in the comfort of the patient’s home.
We take the stress out of traveling to appointments, ensuring expert care is always just a phone call away.
We’re hiring for the role of Medical Receptionist. You’ll act as the first point of contact for patients and caregivers, managing a high volume of calls, delivering excellent service, and assisting with key administrative tasks that support our clinicians.
Principal Responsibilities- Supports the organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co‑workers.
- Answers a high volume of phone calls while providing excellent customer service.
- Provides administrative support to clinicians.
- Performs registration of new patients and insurance verifications.
- Provides back‑up support for other team members as needed.
- Adheres to the organization’s policy regarding absenteeism and appearance.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- 2‑3 years of work‑related experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA.
- Knowledge of SpringCM archive system preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Business Office Environment with phone and computer use.
In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $16.00 to USD $24.00. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions.
