Social Worker-Foster Care

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong knowledge of Social Security benefits, foster care programs, and compliance processes. This role will support the administration and oversight of SSI and other SSA benefits for children in foster care while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

• Manage and oversee Social Security benefits (SSI/RSDI) for foster care youth.
• Ensure compliance with SSA regulations and Representative Payee requirements.
• Support audits, financial reviews, and compliance activities.
• Review and improve processes related to benefits tracking and documentation.
• Provide guidance on fiduciary responsibilities and proper use of funds.
• Handle complex benefit cases including appeals, over payments, and retroactive benefits.
• Work with legal, finance, and program teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Train staff on SSA policies and best practices.
• Develop policies and process improvements for benefit management programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Administration, Social Work, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience with Social Security benefits, foster care, public benefits, or related programs.
• Strong knowledge of SSI, SSA regulations, and Representative Payee responsibilities.
• Experience with audits, compliance reviews, or financial oversight.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

• JD degree and active bar license preferred.
• Experience in child welfare or foster care programs.
• Experience handling government audits and compliance activities.
