About the Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing renewable energy contractor specializing in the design and construction of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar energy projects throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Their portfolio includes large-scale rooftop solar installations, ground-mounted solar systems, carports, and distributed generation projects for commercial, industrial, municipal, and institutional clients.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee field operations across multiple active solar construction sites. This is a highly visible, site-based role requiring frequent travel throughout New Jersey, New York, and Maryland.

This individual will oversee subcontractors, coordinate project activities, ensure safety compliance, manage schedules, and serve as the primary field representative throughout construction.

The ideal candidate possesses strong solar or electrical construction experience, excels in a fast-paced field environment, and is comfortable managing multiple projects across a regional territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site walks, progress meetings, and quality inspections throughout construction.
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively identify risks or potential delays.
  • Work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, and client stakeholders.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Enforce all OSHA, company safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project reporting, progress updates, daily logs, and field documentation.
  • Support project commissioning, punch-list completion, and final turnover activities.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction management experience, preferably within solar, electrical, renewable energy, utility, or power infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing commercial and industrial solar installations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of PV systems, electrical construction practices, and site safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical plans, and technical specifications.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region.
Preferred Experience
  • Ground-mounted solar arrays.
  • Medium-voltage electrical infrastructure.
  • Distributed generation or renewable energy construction.

  • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • Paid time off and holidays
