Primary Responsibility
Respond to inquiries, process orders, and handle complaints in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner. Other duties include greeting visitors, answering phone calls, scheduling, and various clerical tasks.
What You'll Do- Respond to all customer inquiries and complaints concerning work‑orders, shipments, inventory counts, etc.
- Report customer feedback to management.
- Act as liaison between customer and warehouse for account administration, invoicing, and credit changes.
- Generate all paperwork/information required for customer work orders, including special requests, expediting orders, tracking, and post‑inventory records.
- Ensure proper invoicing of accounts by verifying computer‑generated invoices.
- Provide clerical support, oversee paperwork, maintain files, answer phones, operate office equipment/computers, and greet visitors.
- Schedule loads as required and maintain updated reports to ensure all loads are emptied and closed.
- Resolve refused product, over/short, and damaged (OS&D) orders.
- Follow attendance policy, be punctual, and be ready to work assigned shifts.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 0–2 years of related work experience.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility and initiative.
- Experience working with challenging customers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Understanding of customers’ specific needs, product nature, and storage and handling requirements.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and desktop computers.
- Accurate typing and data‑entry skills.
- Requires the ability to sit for long periods with frequent interruptions.
- Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching or bending.
- Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work.
- Requires good hearing, vision, and speech to complete assigned tasks.
- May require travel by automobile and airplane for business purposes.
- May require occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 20 pounds.
- Requires the use of various electronic tools.
- Requires the ability to collaborate with colleagues and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from management.
Estimated compensation: $15–$22 per hour, varying by work location.
