Position Summary
* BCIT is seeking a dedicated Hourly Career Major Tutor in the areas of Heavy Equipment / Automotive. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (required), with some college coursework preferred, and relevant vocational certification or work experience in the heavy equipment / automotive industry. This individual must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for supporting student success in hands-on, career-focused education.
Qualifications
* High school diploma (required)
* Some college credits (preferred)
* Vocational certificate and/or relevant training or work experience in Heavy Equipment Diesel / Automotive trades
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to support students individually and in small groups
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with instructor to support student learning
* Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to reinforce course content and practical skills
* Help students strengthen their understanding of Heavy Equipment / Automotive related careers
Salary
* No to exceed 29.5 hours per week
* Hourly Rate: $27.00 - $29.00
Additional Information
* Required criminal history background check
* Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
* Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire
