Position Summary
* BCSSSD is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will hold a valid NJDOE Instructional Certificate as Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience or a strong interest in working with exceptional learners aged 18-21. Candidates should have a culturally responsive approach and strong behavior management skills to support a diverse student population.
Qualifications
* NJDOE Instructional Certificate - Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities (required)
* Experience working with students aged 18-21 (preferred)
* Demonstrated ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively
* Ability to connect with and support culturally diverse learners
Salary & Benefits
* Annual Salary Range: $64,064 - $82,487 (commensurate with education and experience)
Note:
Starting salaries typically fall within the lower portion of the range due to collective bargaining agreements.
