Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Academic Support Teacher to join our dynamic team. The teacher will provide academic support to students through both push-in and pull-out models, based on their individual needs. This role is essential in providing comprehensive support to all students, helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class support for core subjects (English, Math, History, and Science) by assisting all students with comprehension, note-taking, and class assignments.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify and adapt lesson materials for diverse learning profiles.

• Conduct two weekly academic support sessions focused on targeted pre-teaching or reteaching to assist classified students in achieving academic success.

• Lead two study hall sessions weekly, focusing on organization, catching up on missed work, and mastering key material for classified students, as well as support for non-classified students requiring extra help.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with middle school students in an academic support capacity.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with teachers and administrators.

• Dedication to fostering an inclusive learning environment for all students.

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required;
  Master’s degree preferred
