Position Summary: Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board‑approved curriculum. Serve as an in‑class resource for students with language and learning disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily instruction to students using the Board‑approved ELA curriculum.
• Act as an in‑class resource for students with language and learning disabilities.
• Maintain a positive learning environment.
• Ensure compliance with the NJ FIRST Act.
• Participate in performance reviews and professional development as required.

• New Jersey certification:
  Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH), Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSWD) & ELA Specialization (5‑8), or Teacher of English.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act.
• Successful criminal history clearance.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.

10‑month contract. Salary and benefits are determined by the Board of Education and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Salary ranges from Step 1 (BA/BS – $68,023) to Step 18 (PhD/EdD – $99,380) under the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement. Compensation commensurate with experience and education.
