POSITION SUMMARY: Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board approved curriculum.

• Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: K-6 Elementary Certificate and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher of the Handicapped
• Must have experience with students who demonstrate emotional, behavioral challenges, and some learning differences.
• Seeking the right qualified individual who has strong teaching skills, enthusiasm, and dedication to teach in a self‑contained classroom for Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act.
• Successful Criminal History Clearance.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.

10‑month contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

In accordance with the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, salary range for this position in the 26/27 SY is Step 1 BA/BS ($68,023) – Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

Performance is reviewed annually in accordance with NJ State law and the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluations for certificated staff.

Proficiency in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Google Suite, IEP software, Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
