Position: High-Performance Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

You believe that refusing to lower the bar is the most generous thing you can do for a student. You've built, competed, or achieved at a level most people encounter only in articles: elite sports, distinguished performance at a top university, acceptance to a highly selective institution, or a company you launched and grew yourself. Now imagine channeling that same intensity into a room of K-12 students who've never had anyone with your credentials supporting them—pushing them toward standards they didn't believe they could meet.

If maintaining elite expectations feels too demanding, this role isn't for you.

Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction, allowing students to complete core academics in roughly two hours each day. The rest of their time is dedicated to life skills, passion projects, and authentic development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal accomplishments establish the benchmark: someone capable of assessing the environment, shaping the culture, and guiding them through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.

You won't be teaching. AI delivers the academic instruction. Your responsibility is to motivate, coach, and uphold the same rigorous standard you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time involves direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching that identifies obstacles and establishes ambitious targets. Another forty percent is spent facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery rather than engagement. The final twenty percent is dedicated to setting expectations each morning through focused openings that build a culture where mediocrity has no place.

The trajectory here is depth rather than advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's methodology and earning students' trust. Within months, you become the person they rely on to push them beyond their perceived limits. The payoff isn't a title change. It's the same students, year after year, maturing with you as their constant. It's witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to a room of adults come May.

This position remains student-centered. Students are the objective, not a path to something else. If your motivation to leave your current role is the mission rather than the credential, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and student data to identify obstacles, establish ambitious targets, and ensure student accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery, drawing on authentic examples from your own elite background, and evaluating mastery via Alpha's Test2

    Pass framework
  • Establishing the campus culture each morning through focused openings that reinforce high-performance standards
  • Monitoring student progress continuously and adapting coaching methods based on data rather than intuition
  • Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and families by maintaining high expectations, consistency, and documented motivation strategies
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha's AI-powered academic platform manages instruction; your focus is motivation
  • Presenting to a classroom of 30 students (your work is intensive coaching in small settings, not large-group instruction)
  • Supervising other personnel or advancing through an administrative hierarchy (this role centers on direct student impact, not organizational management)
  • Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional bureaucracy (your time remains concentrated on students)
  • Compromising standards to meet targets (if a student achieves 99%, your role is to determine what prevented 100%)
