Minimum 1+ years deaf & hard of hearing experience required.
Position Title:
Full-Time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (2024/25 School Year)
Position Type:
Full-Time
Responsibilities:
Assess students' hearing levels, munication skills, and educational needs.
Provide instruction using sign language, spoken language, or a bination, based on students' needs.
Adapt curriculum, materials, and environments to ensure accessibility.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Stay current with best practices, research, and legal requirements related to deaf and hard of hearing education.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing or related field.
Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing wintinin state.
Proficient in sign language and/or other munication methods.
Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
