General DescriptionThe Assistant Program Director performs activities in support of the Industry-Business Institute and non-credit program training initiatives. Responsibilities include increasing employer outreach initiatives to effect training program implementation and employer recruitment initiatives; new program development; and implementation of social media outreach efforts of non-credit programs. Work with a variety of partners, including employers, industry associations, Chambers of Commerce, internal UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ departments, instructors, vendors, and public agencies.
Responsible for revenue generation, implementation plan management, and measurement and reporting of results and program improvements. Manage program support staff as required.
- Initiate and lead employer engagement resulting in corporate training programs, state and government contracts, and employer sponsored programs.
- Initiate and establish employer outreach strategies to meet the needs of the Industry-Business Institute and Continuing Education and Workforce Development as assigned.
- Develop relationships with prospective and current employer clients
