Build the Safety Foundation for a Fast-Growing Operation
Zing is hiring an EHS Manager to help democratize scent by building and owning the Environmental, Health, and Safety foundation for our growing manufacturing operations.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who can operate independently, partner closely with Engineering and Operations, and create structure, consistency, and a proactive safety culture across bulk materials handling, automated dosing, compounding, and warehousing.

What You’ll Own EHS Program Ownership- Own and manage site-wide Environmental, Health, and Safety programs
- Build, implement, and maintain EHS systems, procedures, and training programs to support compliance and scalability
- Maintain permits, registrations, documentation, and compliance calendars
- Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS matters at the site
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state requirements
- Lead safety risk assessments and support hazard identification and mitigation
- Develop and maintain incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
- Support emergency preparedness, spill response, and fire safety programs
- Partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality to embed safety into processes, equipment, and workflows
- Support audits, inspections, and customer EHS questionnaires as needed
- Liaise with regulators, auditors, and emergency responders
- Develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing EHS training
- Maintain training matrices and ensure certifications remain current
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of environmental and occupational safety regulations
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently
- Hands‑on, practical approach to safety in production environments
- Strong communication, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
