Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that product quality, durability, and reliability are maintained, and that Corporate Quality and Environment systems are established, implemented, and maintained. The position is located in NJ.

• Candidate should have experience with product quality, quality systems, VCSEL, laser, or GaAs.
• Act as a quality and reliability representative to internal and external customers, from business development through the entire product lifecycle.
• Handle RMA processing and complaints: perform failure analysis, 8D reporting, and drive corrective and containment actions.
• Assess reliability of suspect production materials.
• Track and report quality and reliability issues, and promote continuous improvement in all areas.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronics, Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
• Experience in GaAs/VCSEL industry is beneficial, especially in Quality, Reliability, or Failure Analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, highly organized.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written), with good customer interface skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and efficient under pressure.
• Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, 8D reporting, ISO TS16949, QS9000) is advantageous.
• Experience working with international teams.
