Position Summary

At CEVA Logistics, we are committed to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making. The Supply Chain Engineer Intern (BPE Focus) will support Business Process Excellence initiatives across warehouse, transportation, and contract logistics operations.

This role is ideal for a student passionate about process optimization, Lean methodologies, analytics, and operational performance improvement within a global supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Excellence (Primary Focus)

* Assist in mapping and documenting current-state operational processes (SOPs, workflows, value stream maps).

* Support Lean initiatives including Kaizen events, 5S projects, and waste reduction efforts.

* Conduct time studies and process observations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

* Participate in root cause analysis using internal tools available.

* Support continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing productivity, reducing cost, and improving service levels.

* Help develop standard work documentation and process controls.

Data & Performance Analytics

* Collect and analyze operational data (labor productivity, order accuracy, cycle times, etc.).

* Build dashboards or reports in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.

* Support KPI tracking and performance reporting for site leadership.

* Provide data-backed recommendations to improve operational metrics.

Engineering & Operational Support

* Assist in warehouse layout analysis and optimization projects.

* Support capacity planning and workforce planning initiatives.

* Contribute to automation or process redesign feasibility assessments.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, HR, Transportation).

Qualifications

Education

* Currently or has obtained a Bachelor's degree in:

* Industrial Engineering

* Supply Chain Management

* Logistics

* Operations Management

* Systems Engineering

* Or related field

Preferred Skills

* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement principles.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas);
Power BI or Tableau a plus.

* Familiarity with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.).

* Strong communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment.
