Position Overview
We are seeking a Lab Technician to join our Quality Department. This position is responsible for supporting microbiological testing, maintaining laboratory documentation, and ensuring compliance with GMP and GLP standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible with scheduling, and career-oriented.
ResponsibilitiesReceive and prepare raw, in-process, and finished product samples for microbiological analysis.
Perform laboratory testing in compliance with established standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate and legible documentation following GLP guidelines.
Review test results against specifications; perform product holds and releases as needed.
Conduct bacterial identifications and maintain laboratory databases.
Perform equipment checks and safety monitoring.
Assist in maintaining the lab’s quality control system.
Sterilize microbiological waste and biohazards.
Adhere to GMP and safety standards; report any food safety or personnel safety concerns.
Participate actively in safety meetings and trainings.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Staying in the role for several years.
RequirementsAssociate Degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Acceptable:
BS Degree in MicrobiologyExperience in microbiological testing from an academic or lab setting.
Knowledge of GMPs
, GLPs
, and sanitation procedures is a plus.
