Hampton Behavioral Health Center is a private behavioral healthcare center and offers the most advanced behavioral health, diagnostic treatment services for adults, adolescents and older adults in both inpatient and outpatient programs. This is a full-time position for an Staff Education Coordinator. In this position you will be responsible for the assisting the Director of Nursing and other department heads in creating and implementing education programs and trainings.

Essential Duties:

* Assists in the creation of education tools and training based upon identified needs of the hospital

* Assesses content of clinical and non-clinical in-service programs and makes revisions based on performance improvement data, accrediting agency standards, and Risk Management findings.

* Creates, modifies and delivers clinical and non-clinical training programs resulting from needs assessments

* Makes appropriate arrangements to conduct in-service programs such as classroom space, speakers, and training materials.

* Maintains correspondence and communication for in-service programs.

* Maintain documentation of educational training records, resources, and current licenses.

* Utilizes time efficiently in performing duties.

* Initiates work independently without request by supervisor.

* Conducts RN Orientation, Mental Health Associate Orientation, Student Nurse Orientation, Staff Development in-services based on identified needs.

* Coordinates and teaches Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training. Coordinates annual CPR certification. Assist with Cerner EMR training as needed.

* Assists new employees with completing the orientation module in Health Stream. Coordinates annual mandatory training in Health Stream with current employees.

* Develops and revises evaluation tools to monitor the effectiveness of in-service programs. Provides consultation and training for identified needs. Participates in special Staff Development projects.

* Communicates status of Staff Development in-services to appropriate staff.

* Demonstrates a professional attitude and supports objectives of the hospital.

* Demonstrates the ability to work with a variety of individuals regardless of racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, or sociological backgrounds.

* Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* Registered Nurse licensed in New Jersey

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related mental health field.

* Three years of nursing experience in clinical setting.

* Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles, Nursing Sciences, and Psychiatric Nursing Theories.

* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Cerner EMR experience highly preferred.
