Work Assistant

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey seeks a Work Assistant for the Center for Public Health Workforce Development (CPHWD) within the School of Public Health (SPH) located in Somerset, NJ. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Work Assistant will assist in reviewing and updating training curriculum.

Overview

Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and six centers and institutes focused on cancer, neuroscience, clinical & translational research, advanced biotechnology, environmental & occupational health, and health policy & aging research.

Our faculty are teachers, clinicians, and scientists with unparalleled experience who advance medical innovation and provide patient care informed by the latest research findings. We offer an outstanding education in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, nursing, biomedical research, and allied health careers. Clinical and academic facilities are located throughout the state including New Brunswick, Piscataway, Newark, Scotch Plains, Somerset, Blackwood, and other locations, with clinical partners such as Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and University Hospital in Newark.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews and updates training materials.
  • Conducts literature reviews and other research reviews to improve training materials.
  • Creates presentation materials.
Compensation

Hourly wage: $25.0 per hour. FLSA status:
Nonexempt, Grade: 99H. Salary range: $15.92 – $150.00 per hour. Final offer will consider qualifications and available funding.

Working Hours and Position Status

Part‑time; maximum 19.9 hours per week. Standard hours: 40.00.

Qualifications

Minimum

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills and written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in instructional design.
