Join DOF as our Labour Relations Specialist

At DOF, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As a global offshore and subsea organisation, we are committed to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive workplace where our people can thrive, develop, and go further, together.

We are looking for an experienced Labour Relations Specialist to join our Marine & Asset Operations team, to play a key role in shaping and strengthening labour relations across our global operations. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment, building trusted relationships with unions, employee representatives, operational leaders, and our seafarers, to support business continuity and positive workforce engagement.

In this role, you will lead labour relations initiatives, support collective bargaining, employee relations, workforce change programmes, and labour strategy development. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping our leaders navigate complex labour relations matters while fostering constructive partnerships that create positive outcomes for our people and our business.

If you are passionate about labour relations, enjoy influencing positive change, and want to make an impact in a global organisation, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in collective bargaining and union negotiations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Develop and maintain strong, constructive relationships with unions and employee representatives
  • Provide expert guidance and support on labour relations matters and workforce issues
  • Lead and provide guidance on employee cases such as disciplinary or grievance investigations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of labour relations strategies, policies, tools, and best practices
  • Collaborate with Crewing and Operations teams to support workforce change initiatives
  • Ensure collective bargaining agreements remain valid, accessible, and aligned with operational requirements

You are an experienced labour relations professional who thrives in a dynamic, global environment and has a proven ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders, and drive positive outcomes.

You will likely have:

  • A university degree in Law, Human Resources or other relevant field
  • Significant experience in Labour Relations and Human Resources, including experience within a unionised environment
  • Strong knowledge of labour legislation, employment standards, human rights frameworks, and health and safety requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in collective bargaining and union negotiations
  • Experience supporting organisational change and workforce transition programmes
  • Excellent communication, consultation, and influencing skills
  • The ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience working independently while collaborating effectively within a global matrix organisation
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and verbal

Is this the perfect role for you, but you don’t meet every single requirement? We value the right person over a perfect match to a job description. Research shows that underrepresented groups are less likely to apply unless they meet every listed requirement, and we don’t want that to hold great talent back, so we encourage you to apply. It’s the best way for us to find the right talent for this role, or another, and that could be you.

Application due date: 27 September 2026
