Job Description
Charles River for Private Markets is seeking a Product Manager, Data, Analytics, and AI to productize our core data management, intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions and services to scale across all clients. You will own the product strategy through the distribution of knowledge and awareness of capabilities and furthering our future cloud-based data and analytics platform. You will be expected to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to solving challenges within both new and evolving clients, making decisions on moderately complex to complex issues and regularly working without direct guidance.
The ideal candidate will have excellent business acumen, passionate about evangelizing data-driven decision making, driving standards, and product advocacy at all levels. They should also be a strong communicator comfortable with facilitating executive level, decision justification, and roadmap. Whatyou will be responsible for
- Own our core data ingestion, data management, analytics, reporting solutions/services and roadmap
- Oversee user experience of the facilitated end-to-end process from data ingestion to normalization to data accessibility and delivery
- Ensure client experience is simple, intuitive, and drives measured adoption
- Monitor metrics against platform performance and service levels
- Identify, assemble and coordinate internal and third-party resources and assign individual responsibilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Work across our Professional Services, Product, and Engineering team to prioritize bugs, defects, and enhancements
- Support go-to-market strategy and execution
- Provide timely updates on key roadmap updates to senior management
- Highly driven, determined & business oriented.
- Highly polished executive presence and sophistication to gain credibility with the firm’s most senior professionals and provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a team.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on assigned responsibilities through commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial to identify and address challenges in data analysis and model development.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years combined experience in a product management role
- Preferred background to include enterprise SaaS within data management, data science, and / or artificial intelligence
- Proven track record of delivering impactful product releases to an roadmap
Skills:
- Experience in database management, machine learning, AI, data analysis, data modeling, data analysis, data analysis, and business intelligence
- Experience working with Microsoft Power BI, (Power Query, Performance Point, Power View a plus), Power Platform, Analytics (Synapse, backend data modeling in support of Analytics), SSRS, SSAS, Excel Services, IPaaS, Snowflake preferred
- Experience using JIRA or other agile development tools
- Private Markets: a strong understanding of in private markets investing
- Financial Concepts: knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, and key performance indicators (KPIs) used in the private markets is important.
- Investment Process: familiarity with the investment process, including deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management, can also be helpful.
- Ability to travel as required for client engagements (-20%), including internationally
$80,000 - $140,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
