Field Service Technician - Egg Harbor Township, NJ

Position Summary

Field Service Technician provides technical support to internal users of computer applications and hardware (e.g., PCs, servers, mainframes). Answers questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, system status and downtime procedures, generally located within a call center. Collaborates with network services, software systems engineering and/or application development to restore service and identify problems.

• Deliver technical support to field employees, resolving issues related to point-of-sale (POS) systems, pharmacy systems, photo kiosks, and inventory management systems.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, hardware upgrades, and equipment replacements to ensure smooth functioning of store systems under minimal supervision.
• Integrate new technology equipment into stores, set up new POS terminals, configure software and ensure proper connectivity.
• Conduct complex troubleshooting, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls, equipment installations, and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with help desk personnel, network engineers, and software developers.
• Provide exceptional customer service while installing, diagnosing, and solving retail equipment failures.
• Inventory IT parts, supplies, and equipment and place orders; ensure parts are available.
• Be available on-call 24 hours and work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Travel between CVS locations within Egg Harbor TWP/South Jersey Shore area (reside in territory supported).

• 1+ year of hands‑on experience with troubleshooting hardware, maintenance and repairs.
• Valid Driver’s License with no major violations.
• Available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs+ and work occasionally on a ladder.
• Willingness to drive within the specified area.

• Technical certifications or technical degree.
• Previous field service technician work experience.
• Education:
  
  High School diploma or GED (required).

Anticipated weekly hours: 40 hours.
