Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer Hybrid (Brooklyn, NY)
Location:
Brooklyn, NY (2 days onsite, 3 days remote) Duration: 12 Months (35 hrs/week) Interview Mode:
In-person (NYC) Client: NYC Agency (Mission-Critical Systems 24x7 Environment) Req Y1368-A Open Kyber is seeking an experienced IAM Engineer to support high-impact infrastructure and identity initiatives for a major NYC agency. This role is part of a critical team responsible for ensuring secure, reliable access across both cloud and on-premise environments supporting essential city services, including 311.
- Work on mission-critical systems requiring 24x7 uptime
- Hybrid flexibility with a structured 35-hour work week
- Opportunity to contribute to large-scale IAM modernization efforts
- Collaborative environment supporting multiple high-visibility projects
- Design, implement, and administer Active Directory environments (30%)
- Engineer and manage Entra (Azure AD) solutions (40%)
- Support Manage Engine BSP (MEBSE) infrastructure (20%)
- Provide Tier 2/3 IAM support, including off-hours coverage as needed (10%)
- Support both cloud and on-prem IAM infrastructure
- Ensure secure access management across enterprise applications
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Strong expertise in:
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)
- LDAP, SAML, OAuth
- Deep understanding of RBAC models and identity governance
- Proven experience delivering complex IAM projects in enterprise environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical IAM solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Skills:
- Power Shell scripting
- Experience with Azure/Entra ecosystem
- Browser access control and security policies
- Candidates must be local to NYC and available for in-person interviews within 5-10 business days
- This role requires occasional off-hours support in a 24x7 environment
- Work schedule is capped at 35 hours per week (7 hours/day)
