The Role
As a Centre Technician you will deliver consistent, accurate, high‑quality service to our customers. Your duties will include supporting daily hose centre operations, building customer relationships, and contributing to team success. You will receive training with a long‑term goal of advancing into broader roles such as Mobile Sales and Service Technician, Sales or Operations.
General Tasks
- Support daily operations of the Hose Service Centre
- Learn hose assembly, machine/weld and pipe‑bending procedures
- Assist customers at counter and by phone
- Pick‑up and deliver goods as required
You
- Strong customer‑service focus
- Good telephone manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Knowledge of the industry (preferred)
- Trade certificate a plus, but not essential
- Ability to operate machinery, use tools and measuring devices
- Possession of a current driver’s licence; driving a manual vehicle is essential
- Computer literacy with good numeracy skills
- Well presented and groomed
- Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
- Ability to prioritise to meet deadlines and problem‑solve
- Team player mindset
- Live within a reasonable distance to the business
- Understanding of WHS and Safe Work Practices
- Maintain neat and tidy dress and appearance in line with Pirtek Dress Code Policy
