About the RoleThe General Manager will lead a strategically important business unit focused on specialty assembly manufacturing and product distribution. This role carries full P&L ownership and responsibility for driving operational excellence, commercial performance, and long-term growth. Reporting into senior corporate leadership, the General Manager will oversee all core functions—including operations, sales and marketing, sourcing, and engineering—while fostering a high-performance culture centered on accountability, safety, and customer satisfaction.
This is a hands‑on leadership role suited for a results‑driven operator who thrives in fast-paced, precision-driven environments.
- Own full profit and loss responsibility for the business unit
- Drive sustained profitability through cost control, margin optimization, and cash flow management
- Establish and track financial performance metrics tied to growth and operational efficiency
- Direct all manufacturing and assembly operations, including workforce planning and equipment utilization
- Optimize throughput, quality, and delivery through continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational best practices
- Lead and align sales, marketing, and sourcing functions to achieve revenue and margin targets
- Strengthen customer relationships and ensure world-class service delivery
- Partner with commercial teams to identify new market opportunities and expand customer penetration
- Develop and execute growth strategies across industrial, aerospace, and life sciences–adjacent markets
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning, annual operating plans, and S&OP processes
- Evaluate new products, services, and market opportunities
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing leadership and frontline team
- Drive recruitment, development, and retention of top talent
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with corporate leadership and peer business units to ensure alignment
- Share best practices and leverage enterprise resources to drive performance
- Support company-wide initiatives and integration efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience across Operations, Sales, Engineering, or Marketing
- 5 years in a General Management or full P&L leadership role
- Experience with in manufacturing, industrial distribution, aerospace, or other precision-driven environments strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead in fast-paced, detail-oriented, high-accountability settings
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution capability
- Demonstrated success developing and leading high-performing teams
- Excellent financial acumen, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills
- Ability to travel to branch or operating locations as required
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing and office environment with moderate noise levels
- Requires a mix of sitting, standing, walking, and reaching
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds; occasional heavier handling with assistance
- Manual dexterity and close visual focus required
Competitive base salary $200K bonus
