Responsibilities
The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing procurement activities, ensuring low total cost of ownership and high-quality procurement of related goods and services and will be responsible for commercial and service criteria and contracts in alignment with corporate policies and procedures, which ensure competitive pricing and overall total cost of ownership, and fully protect the company against missed deliveries, shortages, and outages, poor material quality, and other performance issues.
TechnicalKnowledge/Skills
- Strong understanding of purchasing concepts, practices, and procedures, especially Sourcing Methodology
- Strategic and systems thinking
- Familiar with financial management and analysis
- Ability to excel in a matrix management environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
- Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience in the Indirect Procurement field
- Industrial manufacturing and/or Business Management experience preferred
- Experience in the use of ERP systems (SAP, ARIBA)
C.P.M. (certified purchasing manager) and/or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification
