We are seeking an experienced Bilingual
Production Supervisor / Production Lead to join a growing food and beverage manufacturing operation in Elizabeth, NJ.
Employment Type:
Temp-to-Perm
Compensation: $26–$29/hour (DoE)
Schedule:
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with possible overtime
- Lead and oversee daily production activities while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
- Operate and understand production equipment and processes.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, make adjustments, and perform basic mechanical repairs when needed.
- Identify production problems and use root cause analysis to determine and address underlying issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment.
- Ensure employees follow company safety, quality, sanitation, and production procedures.
- Train, coach, and provide direction to production employees.
- Help develop, update, and correct Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Deliver safety instructions and training in both English and Spanish.
- Support SQF and/or organic certification requirements and participate in facility audits.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
- Lead by example and maintain a strong commitment to quality and food safety.
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience in food and/or beverage manufacturing.
- Previous experience as a working operator
, not solely in a supervisory capacity. - Strong knowledge of production equipment and the ability to operate machinery.
- Strong mechanical and maintenance skills, including troubleshooting, equipment adjustments, and basic repairs.
- Experience working in an SQF- or organic-certified facility
. - Familiarity with audits, food safety requirements, and manufacturing standards.
Strong English communication skills are required. An English phone screening will be conducted to confirm communication abilities.
The successful candidate must be comfortable writing and correcting SOPs and delivering safety instructions in both English and Spanish.
