Church Profile
Lakeview Community Church, part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, has sought to reflect God’s heavenly Kingdom in the Putnam County, NY area for the past 23 years. Located about an hour north of NYC, we are a welcoming, multi-cultural/ generational church that over 250 people call home, many of whom are young families.

The Associate Pastor will use his unique giftings, experiences, and passions, in partnership with our Lead Pastor, to equip and empower our church body to make a multiplied Kingdom impact. This role offers potential opportunity for growth in responsibility and leadership.
Qualifications- Clear call to ministry & passion for the greater Putnam region
- Education:
Masters of Divinity (or comparable degree/ in process) - Experience:
At least three years of pastoral ministry experience. - Licensing/ Ordination:
With the C&MA (or sustaining accreditation)
- Preach at a regular interval as a part of the preaching team.
- Collaborate with Lead Pastor to provide compassionate pastoral care to individuals as needed.
- Lead Life Group ministry.
- Lead local community outreach strategy.
- Collaborate with ministries to create appropriate discipleship pathways for different stages of spiritual maturity.
- Track discipleship effectiveness and implement improvements with staff team.
- Resource ministry leaders, providing practical tools, guidance and encouragement.
- Identify and develop leaders.
Your life models a mature love for God, demonstrating integrity, humility, empathy, and authenticity, aligned with the qualities described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
Biblical ConvictionYou are committed to communicating scripture in a clear, engaging, exegetically sound manner. You align with the doctrinal convictions of LCC and the C&MA.
Team-Building & Leadership DevelopmentYou are skilled at identifying, developing and encouraging new leaders. You naturally invest in others, building effective teams and creating environments where people can thrive in life and ministry.
Relational Focus & CommunicationYou comfortably model clear communication and healthy conflict resolution along with an approachable, compassionate demeanor in pastoral care settings.
Adaptability & FlexibilityYou have a willingness to adapt to new opportunities and ministry needs, being flexible and responsive to effectively serve and lead in a changing environment.
CompensationA competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with qualifications and experience, will be discussed during the interview process.
