Community Support Service Director

The Director of Community Support Services will supervise the Non-Residential Program staff by assisting families in accessing vital services in the community and by conducting outreach and educational workshops regarding health and social determinants of health. The Director of Community Support Services will work collaboratively with other agency staff and agency partners to identify the needs of the community and to develop strategies to effectively meet these needs.

As a vital role of the YWCA, the Director of Community Support Services will ensure that he/she develops strong partnerships with local schools and other community-based organizations.

• RESPONSE: Provide oversight of the agency's Confidential Sexual Violence Advocacy Program and supervise the CSVA Coordinator.
• Participate directly in sexual assault activations and provide survivor centered crisis response and support as required.
• Support the CSVA Coordinator in training CSVA volunteers.
• Respond to CSVA activations and provide crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, and referrals.
• Ensure appropriate coordination and communication with hospitals, law enforcement, the Prosecutor's Office, and other community partners involved in sexual assault response.
• Participate in hotline coverage and other crisis response responsibilities as required.
• OUTREACH: Oversee community education and outreach activities related to domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence, healthy relationships, and available YWCA services.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, community-based organizations, social service providers, government agencies, healthcare providers, and other community partners.
• Conduct trainings and presentations on domestic violence and sexual assault for professionals, community organizations, schools, volunteers, and other groups.
• Identify opportunities to expand community-based programming and increase awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault services.
• PROGRAM DELIVERY & SUPERVISION: Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, group facilitation, intakes, walk-in services, and other client services when needed.
• Ensure services are trauma informed, culturally responsive, survivor centered and aligned with agency policies and professional standards.
• Provide supervision, guidance, support, and performance management to Community Support Services staff and interns.
• Ensure adequate staffing, scheduling, and coverage across services.
• Conduct timely staff performance evaluations and support ongoing professional development.
• Responsible for the collection, review, and analysis of program data and preparation of required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Submit required program reports to the Assistant Executive Director and ensure timely completion of funder reports and deliverables.
• Maintain knowledge of funding sources, program budgets, grant requirements, and contractual expectations and ensure appropriate implementation and compliance.
• Recommend and participate in the development and expansion of programs based on survivor and community needs.
• Monitor the quality and effectiveness of services and implement improvements when necessary.
• Attend and participate in required agency meetings, including staff meetings, Director/Coordinator meetings, program meetings, and other relevant meetings or committees.
• Collaborate with other YWCA departments to ensure coordinated and comprehensive services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed and directed by the Executive Director or Assistant Executive Director.
