Licensed Practical Nurse Per Diem UCHC MSCF (Multiple Vacancies)

University Correctional Healthcare at Rutgers is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse for the Midstate correctional facility in Wrightstown, NJ. The primary responsibility is to provide skilled nursing care within the scope of practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing treatments and procedures in a correctional environment.

• Participate in patient data collection related to status and needs.
• Communicate relevant information to Registered Nurse for the care plan.
• Provide direct patient care implementing the plan of care.
• Educate patients and families about health status and care plan.
• Assist with discharge preparation and home health maintenance.
• Document all aspects of patient care.

• Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Experience in an acute hospital setting preferred (minimum six months).

Must be able to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes and lift/rotate patients up to 50 pounds.

Must be approved by the Department of Corrections and comply with all DOC requirements.

Hourly pay $29.00. Standard hours 19.00; rotating shift; full onsite.

Hourly wage $29.00, with salary review based on qualifications and funding.
