The Child inpatient unit is a 40‑bed unit consisting of crisis, intermediate, and DD bed availability. The nurse, along with a multidisciplinary team, collaborates on treatment goals to help treat patients with psychiatric and behavioral issues.

• Required:
  • ASN or Nursing Diploma
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
• Preferred:
  • Med./Surg. Telemetry and/or ER nursing experience
  • Psychiatric-Mental Health certifications and/or national nursing certifications

• BLS upon hire
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

• Per Diem
• Day Shift
• Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, assuring awareness of ethical standards of practice defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Maintains evidence-based practice, continuously expands personal knowledge, and collaborates with resource persons and programs.
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Possesses knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other patient care providers.
• Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of patient care and individualizes care plans to address specific patient needs.
