Overview
Registered Nurse – Newborn Nursery in Burlington, Vermont, United States. This travel - temporary assignment starts 09/07/2026 for approximately 18 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,214 to $2,258. Shift pattern is 3x12-hour rotating, with mainly night shifts and occasional day coverage. You’ll work in a hospital setting within a high-volume newborn unit, supporting mother/baby couplet care and collaborating with obstetrics and pediatric teams.

- Epic EMR experience required within the past 2 years
- Provide direct nursing care to newborns and support mother/baby couplet care in a high-volume newborn unit
- Monitor newborn vitals, feeding, weight, urine output, jaundice, and overall condition; administer prescribed medications and therapies
- Document care in EPIC; coordinate with obstetric and pediatric teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate families on newborn care, feeding, safety, and discharge planning; address questions and provide support
- Maintain infection control and patient safety standards; participate in discharge planning and care transitions
- May be asked to rotate to other units as needed and may begin with float duties; schedule rotations primarily toward night shifts
- Active RN license in the appropriate practice state
- Certifications:
BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred - Minimum 2 years of newborn/newborn nursery specialty experience
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Prior travel clinical experience strongly preferred
- Prefers antepartum experience and open to taking charge nurse responsibilities if assigned
- Experience in a large (500+ beds) or teaching facility preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital travel assignment with a rotating 3x12 schedule and weekend coverage
