• AHA BLS

• Need Days and evening shifts- 8hr shifts

• CNA will perform requirements with minimal monitoring by a Registered Nurse.
• NA provides basic, appropriate, effective interventions to individual patients needs according to established facility policies, safety standards and procedures.
• The contact NA refers to the professional RN when deviations and problems not covered in the assignment occur.
• The contract NA anticipates the needs of professional staff and works with them as a team member.
• The Nursing Assistants provide a vital role assisting the licensed nurses providing direct patient care for patients in the Medical Center and residents in the Community Living Center.
• NA performs a range of personal nursing care which includes feeding, walking, lifting, turning patients and providing related hygiene care.
• NA performs a range of diagnostic support duties which include taking, recording and reporting to nurses' deviations in vital signs and change in patients' condition.
• Assembles necessary equipment. Cleans and cares for equipment in oxygen and suction therapy, frame beds and reports equipment in need of repair.
• minimum requirements for all certified nursing assistants shall include at least 1-year prior experience.
• VA experience is preferred.
• A current CPR/ BLS certificate by the American Heart Association is required.
