Description General Maintenance

Safety and cleanliness of our guest areas is of great importance at the OC Waterpark. Our Maintenance team is the backbone of what we strive to achieve. General Maintenance staff is responsible for the cleanliness and “behind the scenes” work that keeps our park beautiful and operating efficiently.

Cleaning guest areas prior to opening and at closing including bathrooms, golf course and pools.

Basic, daily filtration tasks such as backwashing and adding chemicals when needed. (certification offered where applicable)

Morning checks of rides and guest areas to identify any problems. Safety checkoff sheets will be completed each day for each area.

Power washing and painting as needed.

During operating hours pool skimming, trash removal and general cleanup of areas as needed.

General comfort with small maintenance projects such as light repair work, hanging signs, light carpentry and other handy man type duties.

Assist with contractors on larger projects to learn and understand the park systems moving forward.

Pre-season opening tasks. Deep cleaning, painting and unpacking from the winter

Post-season tasks. Storing, disassembling and getting ready for winter.

Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where limited information exists. ?

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Willing to work to learn and grow with the company

Prior pool experience is preferred.

Must have excellent communication skills.

The Employee must have knowledge and understanding of policies and standard operating procedures.

Comfortable with computers and technology that drive day to day tasks

Must have a flexible schedule including morning, evening, weekends, and holidays throughout the summer.

Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Must be willing to learn as the park changes and grows.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.

The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee will be working outdoors and are exposed to all types of weather and are exposed to loud noise throughout the day.

Due to the nature of this business, we require that employees are available to work a varied schedule. We require that you be available to work weekends and holidays from May to September.
