The Coordinator, Gift Shop is responsible for managing the flow of inventory from the stockroom to the sales floor. This position assists with merchandising, product displays, restocking, sales, purchasing, reorders, and data entry of merchandise. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors, and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Job Description- Coordinates flow of day-to-day stockroom activity.
- Responsible for receiving, checking against PO and pricing.
- Responsible for reporting damage claims to vendor.
- Ensures all merchandise is checked in and priced.
- Data entry in POS system for inventory accountability.
- Creates new displays of seasonal and everyday products bringing to the sales floor and restocking daily.
- Takes shop work as needed.
- Assists in buying/reordering of basic stock items.
- Helps to coordinate Special Event Sales.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma
- Visual display/ merchandising experience.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with and motivate volunteers.
- Point of Sale Cash Register system knowledge & entering merchandise for inventory control.
- Computer skills:
Excel, Word, Power Point.
- 2 Years of experience in Retail
- Experience working with volunteers preferred, but not required
