Maintenance - Jared Jewelers - Wayside Commons

Overview

Jared Jewelers is looking for a dynamic Maintenance/Porter to support a customer‑centric store environment. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming retail space, both inside and outside the store, and supporting contracted vendors as needed.

• Perform general maintenance inside and outside the store.
• Keep the sales floor clean, including picking/sweeping up spills and debris.
• Maintain glass windows and doors, removing spots.
• Clean and maintain public restrooms on a scheduled basis.
• Keep the break room neat and orderly.
• Maintain the outside appearance by sweeping or removing debris and regularly emptying trash containers.
• Clear snow, slush, or ice from in front of the entrance.
• Monitor maintenance performed by contracted vendors.
• Utilize the ETS in accordance with company guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Genuine desire to serve customers by keeping retail and outdoor areas orderly.
• Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
• Moderate interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and basic carpentry skills.
• Visual and auditory skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
