Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Thrift Store Manager to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and a passion for service. This role oversees daily store activities, manage staff, ensures excellent customer experiences, and drives sales growth. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing leadership skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities Lead all aspects of store management, including sales, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service excellence;
Supervise and train staff on store operations, POS (Point of Sale) systems, cash handling, and customer engagement techniques;
Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize profitability and minimize inventory shrinkage;
Recruit, interview, onboard, and develop team members to foster a motivated and skilled workforce;
Manage employee scheduling, and shift management to ensure smooth daily operations;
Implement marketing initiatives to increase community awareness and store traffic
Requirements
High School Diploma or Associate's Degree with at least 3 years of experience in retail operations;
Proven management experience in retail sales or store management environments with supervising responsibilities;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting;
Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule for retail and agency business;
Must be able to perform basic lifting of 50 lbs. and physical movement activities associated with furniture and merchandise placement;
Excellent communication skills;
Knowledge of inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math principles;
Experience in recruiting, training & development, employee orientation, and team leadership;
Demonstrated ability in budgeting, merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management;
Proficiency in cash handling procedures and cashiering operations;
Ability to handle multiple priorities with effective time management skills;
Previous experience in retail stores such as grocery or thrift shops is highly desirable;
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence;
Familiarity with wireless sales or marketing initiatives is advantageous
