What you'll be doing day to day- Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services while keeping the loading zone clean by clearing away straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
- Ensure that all physical shopping tools, including carts, pencils, yellow bags, maps, and twine, are adequately stocked and maintained throughout the store during business hours.
- Ensure physical shopping tool are filled at closing.
- Monitor the condition of physical and digital shopping tools, report any IT issues, and remove any physical stands or tools that are unsafe.
- Address customer needs, resolve issues independently, and escalates matters to a manager when needed.
- Support in other customer service areas such as Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Exchanges & Returns, Click & Collect as needed.
- When supporting in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), provide customers with a simple and efficient handout experience.
- When supporting in Returns, ensure products and equipment are properly staged.
- When supporting Click & Collect, create a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate order handoff.

- Previous retail, customer service, or cart attendant experience.
- Ability to safely push, pull, and collect shopping carts throughout the parking lot.
- Capable of lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to assist customers with directions and basic store information.
- Familiarity with maintaining clean, organized, and safe customer areas.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and supporting store operations.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
JOB TYPE – Permanent, Part-time
JOB LOCATION - IKEA Paramus, NJ
BENEFITS ELIGIBLE? Yes
HOURS – 12-20 hours per week. Must be able to work some weekdays and weeknights and must have completely open working availability Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 9:30AM to 10:30PM.
The hourly pay rate for this role is $19.50
