Position: Senior Account Executive - Performance Contracting

Senior Account Executive - Performance Contracting | Energy Efficiency & Building Solutions (PA/NJ/DE)

Location:

across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Our client is a trusted leader in sustainable building solutions, delivering innovative strategies that reduce energy costs, enhance efficiency, and improve overall facility performance. This senior-level role serves as the primary business development driver for performance contracting programs across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

As a Senior Account Executive, you will spearhead business growth by building and expanding long-term customer relationships across multiple verticals—particularly in K-12 education, higher education, and healthcare. You will lead the sales of large-scale, complex, bundled energy and infrastructure solutions with guaranteed savings, engaging directly with C-level executives and senior decision-makers.

This is a high-impact role for a results-driven “hunter” who thrives on developing new business, closing multi-million-dollar deals, and driving measurable outcomes for clients. By joining a proven industry leader, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting difference in how organizations achieve sustainability, cost savings, and long-term performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, pursue, and cultivate new client relationships through research, outreach, and market engagement.
  • Design and execute lead generation campaigns to build a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Develop and close high-value sales opportunities with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.
  • Leverage strategic checkpoints to secure progressive commitments and advance deals through the sales cycle.
  • Expand solution offerings within existing accounts by identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
  • Develop and manage strategic pursuit plans, including timelines, internal resource allocation, and client engagement strategies.
  • Serve as the primary client advocate, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful project handoffs to the PC Project Group.
  • Lead and inspire internal sales and support teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and within targeted vertical markets.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts for large, complex infrastructure improvement projects.
Leadership & Team Management Responsibility
  • Provide direction, coaching, and oversight to sales project teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and operations to ensure seamless project delivery.
Required

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven “hunter” sales experience, including cold calling and C-suite engagement.
  • Demonstrated success selling large-scale, bundled energy or infrastructure solutions with guaranteed outcomes.
  • Strong track record of initiating and closing multi-million-dollar deals.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience developing and managing sales teams.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours as needed to meet client deadlines.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
  • Must pass background checks, including FBI fingerprinting and DMV record verification.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and participation in random testing required.
Work Environment
  • Office-based with regular travel to client sites across PA/NJ/DE.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth.
