Position OverviewLiberty Elevator Corporation is seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage and grow our Central & Southern New Jersey territory.
This relationship-driven role combines business development, sales, and account management, with responsibility for an established portfolio of commercial elevator customers while developing new opportunities throughout the region.
The ideal candidate has a successful background in B2B sales, business development, or commercial account management. Elevator industry experience is preferred but not required. Experience in commercial real estate, property services, HVAC, mechanical contracting, construction, fire/life safety, or related building services is highly valued.

Business Development & Territory Growth- Develop new commercial elevator business throughout Central and Southern New Jersey.
- Prospect property managers, building owners, facility managers, engineers, developers, contractors, and other decision-makers.
- Generate opportunities for elevator maintenance, repair, and modernization services.
- Conduct and coordinate equipment surveys and follow up on proposals and recommendations.
- Grow territory density through cold outreach, networking, referrals, inbound leads, and portfolio expansion.
- Reengage former customers, historical leads, previous proposals, shutdowns, and lost opportunities.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline with consistent prospecting and follow-up.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for an established portfolio of commercial customers.
- Develop strong relationships through regular meetings, property visits, and account reviews.
- Prepare and present maintenance, repair, modernization, and customer-requested proposals.
- Communicate technician-generated repair and equipment recommendations.
- Coordinate with Liberty's Service, Repair, Modernization, Billing, and Operations teams to address customer needs.
- Assist with service concerns, billing discrepancies, and outstanding receivables.
- Identify aging equipment, capital planning needs, and future modernization opportunities.
- Maintain accurate customer, proposal, opportunity, and follow-up activity within Liberty's CRM.
The Account Manager will maintain an active presence within the New Jersey commercial real estate community through organizations such as BOMA New Jersey, IREM, NJAA, CAI New Jersey, CREW, and other regional property management and building industry groups.
Responsibilities include:- Attend industry conferences, networking events, trade shows, and customer functions.
- Develop relationships with property managers, owners, facility professionals, engineers, developers, and contractors.
- Follow up on website inquiries, inbound calls, referrals, and other qualified leads.
- Research prospective properties, management companies, and commercial portfolios.
- Transition completed Modernization and Construction projects into long-term maintenance relationships.
- Client Retention
Winning an account is only the beginning. The Account Manager will strengthen customer relationships through regular property visits, account reviews, educational meetings, lunches, industry events, and customer appreciation opportunities.
The goal is to become a trusted long-term resource for customers by proactively addressing equipment needs, upcoming repairs, modernization planning, and service expectations.
Qualifications- Proven B2B sales, business development, or account management experience.
- Elevator industry experience preferred but not required.
- Commercial real estate, property services, construction, HVAC, mechanical, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, and close new business.
- Strong communication, presentation, organization, and follow-up skills.
