Pay Range: $19.73 - $23.56 per hour

The RWJBH Security Officer ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff with a blend of vigilance and compassionate service. The officer balances security protocols with understanding and respect for those in the healthcare setting, upholding our commitment to safety, customer service, and supportive care.

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
• Ability to acquire de-escalation training certification within 90 days of hire.

Preferred

• Minimum of one year of customer service, security, or prior military service.
• Proficiency in keyboarding/data entry and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Bilingual language skills (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Polish) preferred.

• Full Time
• Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm

• Conduct patrols and monitor facilities.
• Provide professional customer service while responding to potential security threats.
• Manage access control, perform data entry, and use Microsoft Office for incident reporting.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse population.
• Perform weapon screening and enforce facility policies.
• Respond to emergencies and use de-escalation techniques.
