HVAC Technician
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, rooftop units, and warehouse HVAC systems.
Ensure all temperature-controlled areas remain compliant with food safety and storage regulations.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and service calls promptly to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts used.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement or needed upgrades.
Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal disruption.
Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, and company safety procedures and protocols.
Assist with the installation and setup of new HVAC/R systems or equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in HVAC/R strongly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with commercial or industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
EPA 608 Certification (Universal or Type I & II) required.
Experience working in food-grade or temperature-controlled environments preferred.
Strong understanding of HVAC diagnostics, system controls, and mechanical repairs.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in hot or cold environments.
