The Residential Counselor is responsible for delivering wellness and recovery‑oriented case management and support services to service recipients in accordance with New Jersey Department of Human Services—Division of Mental Health and Addictions Services regulations.
Theodora House is a group home that serves consumers who have been discharged from a State psychiatric hospital.
Location and ShiftLocation:
Fanwood, NJ 07023 (Union County)
Shift: Saturday/Sunday 10am‑6pm
Responsibilities- The position requires one of the following: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in mental health, health, or another appropriate human services discipline; a registered nurse license; or a combination of one or more years of college plus related work or life experience totaling four years.
- Additionally, applicants must have at least one year of related work or life experience if the four-year degree does not meet the above requirements. A practical nurse license plus two years of related experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent plus four years of related experience are also acceptable.
- A valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets agency procedures.
