Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Development Project Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development and support, with a focus on L2/L3 support experience. This role requires expertise in Java, Python, Spark, and AWS technologies, including Redshift, Aurora, SQS, Glue, and Airflow. Additionally, proficiency in Databricks is essential. The Development Project Lead will be responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and leading a team of developers to achieve project goals.
- Lead the development and implementation of software solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide L2/L3 support for existing applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Python, and Spark.
- Utilize AWS services such as Redshift, Aurora, SQS, Glue, and Airflow to enhance application performance and reliability.
- Manage Databricks environments, optimizing data workflows and analytics processes.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including code reviews and testing protocols.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, addressing any risks or challenges proactively.
- Expertise in Java is a deal breaker; candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency.
- Proficient in Python and Spark for data processing and application development.
- Extensive experience with AWS services, particularly Redshift, Aurora, SQS, Glue, and Airflow.
- Strong knowledge of Databricks and its application in data engineering and analytics.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in software development or cloud technologies are a plus.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in a leadership role.
