Temporary Athletics Coach

Overview

The Department of Athletics is a vital part of student life and the educational process at Elizabeth City State University. It provides a well‑rounded schedule of college athletic competition designed to encourage participation by the student body. The department encourages physical fitness and the development of physical skills and emotional control.

This is a general continuous posting for a temporary Athletics Coach. The coach will provide instruction to student‑athletes to increase their knowledge and understanding of a specified sport. The coach will provide strategic direction, leadership, roster management, and motivation to perform competitively in the classroom and on the course.

The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching, preferably at the collegiate level. A bachelor’s degree and work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts of the sport and promotion of the sport program preferred.
